A lifelong artist, Ellie Freudenstein earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honors at UCLA. There she continued with graduate work under William Brice, Jan Stussey, and Rico Lebrun. After multi-careers in art education, advertising, and motherhood, she returned to plein air painting, based in her "Sea Pines Studio" on the Santa Barbara, California coast. Ellie Fruedenstein is an Artist Member of the California Art Club and Oil Painters of America. She is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, Women Artists of the West and the Gold Coast Watercolor Society. Museum exhibitions include: the Springville Museum of Art (Springville, Utah), Tucson Desert Art Museum (Arizona) and in California at the Autry National Center, Carnegie Art Museum, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Pasadena Museum of California Art and the Pasadena Museum of History.
