A free-lance artist since 1969, Arthur Mortimer is considered one of the founders of the muralist movement of art in public places projects.  He has completed hundreds of murals in an unique realistic style combining historical and contemporary elements.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the California Public Art and Mural Society and a member of the National Society of Mural Painters and the California Art Club.  Noted exhibitions include the Pasadena Museum of History, Loyola Marymount University and Occidental College.
